Scott McCain - Chief Executive Officer New Brunswick native Scott McCain has served as C.E.O. of the Saint John Sea Dogs since having played a pivotal role in bringing the expansion franchise to the Port City in 2005. In addition to his role with the Sea Dogs, Mr. McCain is President and Chief Operating Officer of the Agribusiness Group at Maple Leaf Foods Inc. He was appointed to his current role in 1999, having previously held the position of Executive Vice President. The Agribusiness Group is comprised of Maple Leaf Agri-Farms, the Company’s hog production operations, and Rothsay, Canada’s largest recycler of animal by-products with a mandate to grow through innovation. Under his guidance, the Agribusiness Group has produced constant improvement and steady performance as an integral element of the Company’s value chain strategy. With the Company’s reorganization of its protein operations, Maple Leaf Agri-Farms is responsible for consistently and cost effectively producing hogs that meet the specifications of the Company’s value-added fresh and further processed meat and meals business. Prior to joining Maple Leaf Foods Inc. in 1995, Mr. McCain was Vice-President for Production, McCain Foods Limited in Canada. Mr. McCain joined McCain Foods Limited in 1978 where he held progressively senior positions in manufacturing and operations. Mr. McCain holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Mount Allison University (1978). He is a director of Maple Leaf Foods Inc., Canada Bread Company, Limited, McCain Capital Corporation and McCain Foods Group Inc. He is a member of the Board of Regents at Mount Allison University and a board member of Food Processors of Canada. |
