Wayne Long - President
Saint John native Wayne Long was a driving force in bringing the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League to the Port City and now serves as the team’s president. The QMJHL awarded Wayne the John Horman Trohpy as administrator of the year for 2010-11.
A business administration graduate of the University of New Brunswick Saint John, Wayne spent 12 years with Stolt Sea Farm Inc. He successfully led the East Coast sales and marketing team in the development of “Sterling” salmon being the most recognized brand name for salmon in North America
His sales and marketing experience is international in scope and he has extensive knowledge of the North American market, traveling between both coasts frequently. He was awarded the North American Excellence in Sales and Marketing award four times. Wayne has taught sales courses and international logistics courses for NBCC and understands the crucial role that sales and logistics play in any successful business.
From 2001 to 2008 he was owner and president of Scotiaview Seafood Inc., specializing in the sales and marketing of aquaculture products. Wayne is well known and respected in the North American aquaculture industry.
He lives in Saint John with his wife Denise and sons Khristian (19) and Konnor (16), and enjoys watching his Sea Dogs and strumming his guitar.
