Yvon Vautour was named to the Sea Dogs' coaching staff on May 21, 2009.
A native Saint Johner, Vautour skated in 204 NHL games during a nine-year professional career, compiling 26G-33A-59P-401PIM with the Colorado Rockies, New York Islanders, New Jersey Devils, and Quebec Nordiques. Following his playing days, Vautour led Saint John to an appearance in the 1998 Air Canada Cup as the Midget AAA squad’s Head Coach. He also served as an Assistant Coach with the AHL’s Saint John Flames for four years and spent one season behind the bench with the Saint John Scorpions (CEHL), guiding the team to an Alexander Cup Championship. Most recently, Vautour worked in the Vancouver Canucks organization as an amateur scout during the 2007-08 NHL season.
